RECEPTION

  • Check in any time after 14.00pm till midnight, you can do a self check-in afterwards upon prior arrangement. 
  • Checkout latest till 10.30am- there is a luggage storage option - stayover after 14.00pm will be charged as an extra night. 
  • Payment-off for stay, upon arrival
  • Overnight accommodation of individuals who have not been checked in or have not paid for their stay is not allowed.

GENERAL

  • After midnight, the entrance door is locked, it can be opened with a private password.
  • The room you booked will be waiting for you until midnight. If you do not arrive until then and you don’t notify us in advance, this will count as if you cancelled the booking and the room may be rented to another guest. One night fees apply in that case.
  • No Curfew
  • No visitors are allowed in the hostel if the receptionist isn`t aware of the visitors.
  • No outsiders are allowed to stay in the hostel
  • Forgotten things will be kept for 30 days, after that time they will be handed over to local charitable/humanitarian/ecological organizations, depending on the forgotten thing.
  • In case guests use another bed from the one they were originally assigned, one night fees will apply.
  • Be respectful of others and leave your space tidy and clean.
  • Avoid noises and be careful to close doors.
  • Don’t hang washed clothes in communal space, neither on bunkbeds (there is a self-service laundry, 3min away).
  • We ask you not to damage, remove or change the layout of the furniture in the rooms. For every deliberate damage or removal we will claim the compensation for the cost of the damage.
  • Sharing beds is not allowed
  • Eating or drinkng alcohol in the room is not allowed
  • No pets allowed
  • Non-smoking rooms
  • No Drugs
  • Mind your valuables- make sure they are well locked in the assigned bed lockers
  • Please note we only accept guests within 18-40 years old
  • Guests found breaking any hostel rules and regulations are liable to be evicted from the hostel while extra charges will apply (depending on the damaged caused).

KITCHEN 

  • Respect others’ food and fridge space as well as stove burners
  • Wipe the Counter Down When You’re Done With the Space as well as all utensils used while cooking - It is prohibited to remove inventory from the rooms and shared areas.
  • Food can be stored in the refrigerator for guests in the kitchen. Please label the food, write your name and date of departure on the label. All unmarked foods and foods with expired shelf life will be thrown away.
  • Please don’t cook between 23.00pm-6.00am
  • Please always use the relevant mats to leave a hot pan on the board
  • Please always use ventilation while cooking

Cancellation Policy

Flexible rates


The guest can cancel free of charge until 2 days before arrival. The guest’s card will be pre-authorized at the time of the booking. If the card is not valid or needs approval from the guest, we will contact the guest at least once. If we receive no answer / approval within 24 hrs, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without any further notice. If the guest doesn’t cancel by 14:oo pm Greece time, 48 hrs before arrival date the guest will charged the cost of the first night. If the guest doesn't show up, they will be charged the total price of the reservation. The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation at any time.

 

Non-Refundable Rates


The guest’s card will be automatically pre-authorized and charged for the full amount of the reservation. If the card is not valid or needs approval from the guest, we will contact the guest at least once. If we receive no answer / approval within 24 hrs, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation without any further notice.The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel at any time. The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation at any time.


Group Reservation Policy


Please email us at info@wheninathenshostel.com for any group reservation inquiries, to inform you accordingly; certain discounts apply on the total rate, while a non-refundable deposit is required to proceed with the actual booking. Any pending payments are required to be settled a month ahead of the arrival date. You can cancel for free or downgrade the agreement without any commitments, at the latest 2 months before arrival.

Proof of Accommodation for Visa Application

Such a confirmation can be provided to the relevant authorities,only for prepaid, non-refundable bookings.
